2005 K-9 Unit Statistics

 

The Summerville Police K-9 Unit has conducted and compiled  the following statistics during the 2005 year.  We are very proud of the hard work and dedication that the Unit has demonstrated all year long.  Our K-9 Teams should be very proud of the progress that has been made over the past several years.  Each of our K-9 Teams  are an asset to  the Summerville Police Department. 

 

·        (399) Total number of Narcotic Searches conducted by all K-9 Teams.

              This tally includes Dwellings, Vehicles, Schools and Open Areas

 

·        (17) Total number of Building Searches.

 

·        (21) Total number of Area Search Conducted (for suspects off-lead)

 

·        (29) Total number of K-9 Tracks Conducted by all K-9 Teams.

 

·        (21) Total number of Article Searches Conducted

                        Three of these include searches with found property.

 

·        (77) Total number of Agency Assists Conducted by all K-9 Teams.

 

·        (26) Total number of K-9 Apprehensions  conducted.

                    

·        (342) Total number of Narcotic related arrests for all five K-9 Teams.

 

·        (66) Total number of Fugitive / Wanted Person Arrest(s)

 

·        (22) Total number of K-9 Demonstrations conducted by the unit. There were over 1273 people in attendance for all of the demonstrations.
